How I work

I will provide you with a warm, grounded presence whilst we gently explore your difficulties at a pace comfortable for you.

Encompassing this, I ensure a confidential, respectful working relationship, to enable you to discover and get in touch with your feelings without the fear of judgement.

I will be fair, open and trustworthy to give you stability and confidence in our work together.

Humanistic and Integrative

Counselling and Psychotherapy

As as humanistic and integrative therapist, I draw on several counselling models including Person-Centred, Gestalt and Psychodynamic.

This enables me to tailor my approach to your individual needs.

I believe in recognising your individuality and uniqueness in a holistic and positive sense, together with your ability to grow.

I also acknowledge how a sometimes difficult and painful past, with the associated feelings and emotions allows understanding and repair in the present for a more fulfilling life.

As a crucial aspect of your healing process, I have faith in the therapeutic process we can create together.

My role involved work with service users in their homes, in the community and on a mental health unit.
